Leaving Pivotal Payments

2009-08-31 (permalink tags: , )

Today was my last day as lead-developer at Pivotal Payments. As the company decided to phase out in-house development, a good chunk of the dev-team got "down-sized", as they say in this economy. I still don't know what I'm going to do; I will probably take it easy for a few weeks then I'll start looking for interesting consulting opportunities.

If you're working on some interesting Python project, let me know now, before I get involved with something else.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll be able to find something rewarding that you enjoy. Hey, maybe you could start hacking Lisp again! :)

Thanks for the comment. I replied by email to avoid leaking information on my secret strategy to take over the World. ;-)

Wasn't Pivotal looking for a Python developper a month ago?

They were in fact looking for two guys. I also have a hard time to explain such a rapid change in strategy with regards to internal development.

Pivotal Payments treats their customers like complete and utter crap. What a truly horrible company you worked for. The fact that they are downsizing is hopefully a sign these con-artists are finally going out of business.

Hope you've found another job though.
